Color correction with Avid

This hands on, comprehensive workshop will start with important basics on how to analyze your images and doing basic corrections. The class will progress quickly into more advanced corrections and an exploration of the full feature set of both the Avid Symphony and of the other Avid products: Adrenaline, MCSoft, XpressPro. Students will work along with Steve using Media Composer on Macs, Steve will be demonstrating color correction and advanced techniques using an Avid Symphony.

Learn the how and why of color correction. Discover why you want to apply a pallette and set the camera before you ever get into post. And then...learn to color correct in post to get the vision YOU want.

Learning to color correct is a sure-fire way to attract and retain editing clients. Nothing has garnered as many kudos from my clients as my ability to improve the look of their shots.

Color correction is about understanding what you need to see when you look at a shot, then knowing the limitations of what you have and how far you can push it. It's really easy to do and completely teachable. This is not a mystic black art but there are definitely secrets ... which Steve Hullfish can show you.
